Can anyone explain how the BCS rankings go present day?

The BCS is completely retarded and out of date, they need a playoff system. People that use it don't even know exactly how it works. They take the average from the Coaches Poll, The Legends Poll, and thier own computer formula (grades running backs, quarterbacks etc.) and average them all together to get the numbers. STUPID!
