Will I ever be able to use a tampon?

I'm 14 and i've had my period for 2 years now and I just can't use a tampon! I'm going to Mexico in 2 months on spring break and i'm supposed to have it the whole week that i'm there!(and pads are just nasty and uncomfortable anyways) Ok...here's some details (sorry if it's nasty) I can get a tampon in but it seems to fall out. Its fine for the first five minutes, it only hurts a little, but then it really starts to hurt, and I have to take it out. I've heard everything, use lubricant, try a bigger size, relax your muscles, try a different position, push it in farther. I've tried everything! and yes my mom knows i'm just trying to get some other opinions because her advice doesn't seem to help! thanks!
