What would have happened to music had Mozart lived till 1827?

I have often wondered what would have happened had Mozart lived a full life. If he had lived till 1827, the year Beethoven died, would that have changed all of Music as we know it today? Would Beethoven have been able to shine the way he did in the bright light of the Austrian master still present in Vienna? No doubt Mozart would have continued to produce glorious music, but would his music have taken another direction, especially with the advent of the new powerful piano? What do you think?
