Do you honestly believe in God?

I am a devout Catholic, but even sometimes I have trouble trying to explain how such a God can exist when modern science can almost always prove otherwise. I dont believe so much in a Catholic God, but more of a universal, Pantheistic God, one that exists as one with our universe, but yet cannot be explained. My idea of heaven is not so much heaven either, but more of a crossover, to find this other part of our universe that science on a physical human scale can explain. I know somehow that something is watching us, may it be God or a much more advanced higher being out there. So in terms of a God, I do believe that there is one. (About Jesus, I believe he was a time traveler who knew something about this other side of the universe, but thats not all important right now. I think he went back in time to try to stop a disasterous even and sacrafice himself for the people, so in a way yes, I believe He loved us died for us.) The Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden, not so much.....
