Am i pregnant.. please help!?

Well i had with my boyfriend about a week and a half ago (protected), then came on my period a week later which is when i started taking the yasmin birth control pill... But this period is different, it is much lighter and it is also stopping and starting... do you think this due to the pill or because i'm pregnant? I hope i am just panicking about nothing but im really scared.. please help!
