Love my redneck guy to death by my parents dont! HELP.?

Sit your mom down and have a heart to heart conversation with her. Apologize for lying. Tell her exactly why you lied. Also explain to her that the guy is very respectful of you; and that you have not been sleeping with him. Tell her that you really care for the guy; and that he may be your true love. Also explain to her that you are almost an adult and have a right to your own life. Quickly add that you cherish your relationship with her, respect her, and love her so much, but that you need to be able to live, love, and make your own mistakes and choices. Ask her to make a deal with you. That you will not lie again, but that she will have to respect that he will be a part of your life to. Tell her that you know she loves you and is trying to protect you, but that you have a good head on your shoulders, due to her influences (of course) and that your guy respects your space. Be calm. Do not be defensive. Quietly and directly and honestly speak your case. Your mother deserves respect. Show her that you love her & want her opinions, but that she cannot live your life for you.
