Rush Limbaugh's Call to Support Hillary?

Was it just clever and strategic politics or was it a cowardly and dirty act for Rush to ask his listeners to vote for a woman he openly dislikes just to prevent a confrontation with the more electable Barack Obama against John McCain who Rush also has villianized on his radio show for not being a so called true conservative?
