Does he like me, my bff, or no one?................

i am totally and completely in love with this boy named kevin. me and my bff like him, and my bff thinks he likes me, and it used to be that i thought he liked her. but lately i think he likes me, but it seems like he's flip flopping or he likes neither of us. he is single, but he acts different around both of us. he's very polite, sweet, and thoughtful around me, but a little crazy and non-attentive around my bff. when he's around both of us, together, he barely even says anything or he runs away with his buddies. what does this mean? he acts like the crazy self around his friends but the sensitive guy around me. i know this is a surefire sign that a guy likes you, but im not sure. he DID like my bff last year, and asked her out the year before THAT, but he might like me now. so, who does he like?
