Driving from London to Odessa Ukraine.?

Hi all, I am going to drive from London to Odessa and need a little advice from those who have done similar...best route and any possible prior considerations that will have to be made?? Am I allowed in to Odessa with my car and for how long?? I'm guessing for the duration of my visa!! All help is much appreciated!!!
